About

Over the last decade, the Ministries of Health and Education and Youth in Jamaica have been working together to set up an island-wide system of ongoing support for young children with disabilities (ages 0-6). With UNICEF's support, the Early Childhood Commission has developed several national standardized tools for teachers to screen young children and set up referral pathways to early childhood identification and intervention services to support their optimal development and growth.
